Acceptance of terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the bill payment services offered through this website by GoPaisa Netventures Private Limited ("GoPaisa", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing the website or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These Terms were last updated on [add date]. We may revise them from time to time, and the version published on this page applies from the date it is posted.
About the service
GoPaisa provides a platform to pay bills, such as credit card bills, through Bharat Connect (formerly Bharat Bill Payment System, BBPS). GoPaisa acts only as a facilitator that passes your payment instruction to the relevant biller or bank. We are not the biller, the card issuer, or the bank, and we do not control the billing details, due amounts, or account records held by them.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law to use this service. You may pay only with payment instruments (cards, UPI, net banking, and so on) that you are authorised to use.
Using the service
You agree to provide accurate and complete information, including the biller or bank name, the account or card number, the registered mobile number, and the amount. You are responsible for checking these details before you confirm a payment. We are not liable for payments made to the wrong account because of incorrect information entered by you.
The bill amount and due date shown on the website are fetched from the biller. You should verify them against your official statement.
Payments
Payments are processed through our payment gateway partner, CCAvenue, and routed through Bharat Connect. Your card, bank, or UPI details are entered on the secure payment gateway page and are handled by the gateway and your bank under their own terms and security standards.
Any convenience fee, gateway charge, or other applicable fee is displayed before you confirm a payment. By confirming, you agree to pay the total amount shown, including those fees and applicable taxes.
A payment is treated as complete only after you receive a success confirmation on the website, and in most cases an SMS or email as well. The biller or bank may take some time to reflect the payment on your account, and that time is outside our control.
Failed, duplicate, or incorrect payments
If money is deducted from your account but the transaction shows as failed or pending, the amount is generally reversed to your original payment method automatically. Reversal timelines depend on your bank, card network, or the payment gateway.
If you made a duplicate payment or believe a payment was credited incorrectly, contact us with your transaction reference number. We will help investigate with the biller, the bank, and the payment gateway. Where a refund is due, it will be returned to the original payment method. Fees already charged by the gateway or the biller may not be refundable, subject to applicable rules and regulations.
Once a bill payment has been successfully completed and credited to the biller, it cannot be cancelled by us. Any dispute about the bill amount itself must be taken up with the biller or card issuer.
Complaints and support
For any query, complaint, or transaction issue, write to us at [email protected] with your name, registered mobile number, transaction reference number, and a short description of the problem. We will try to respond within a reasonable time. If your complaint is not resolved, you may also raise it through the Bharat Connect complaint process available through the relevant bank or biller.
Billers and third parties
The service depends on billers, banks, Bharat Connect, and the payment gateway. We are not responsible for delays, errors, downtime, or failures that originate from them. Their own terms and policies apply to your dealings with them.
Prohibited use
You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, to make payments using instruments that are not yours, to attempt to interfere with or bypass the security of the website, to use automated tools to access the service without our permission, or to submit false or misleading information. We may block access and report suspected fraud or misuse to the relevant authorities.
Privacy
We collect and use your information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to that collection and use.
Intellectual property
The GoPaisa name, logo, website design, and content are owned by or licensed to GoPaisa Netventures Private Limited. Bharat Connect, CCAvenue, and other third-party names and logos belong to their respective owners. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, GoPaisa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including late payment charges, interest, penalties, or loss of credit score caused by delays outside our control. We are also not liable for losses from unauthorised use of your payment instrument or account that results from your own failure to keep your credentials safe.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access to the service, or decline a transaction, if we suspect fraud, a breach of these Terms, or a legal or regulatory requirement, or if a partner or biller is unavailable.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at [add city], India, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service.
